I asked my watchmaker to grease the rotor. When he put the rotor in his liquid (not sure what it is), the letters just removed Now I'm thinking about engrave something personally in the rotor

Seems the letter just glued on the rotor.
That's crazy. Valuable lesson, I guess
So these are the buckles that i've sourced. Look good to me.
And i think 18mm buckle would work better than a 20mm one. The watch is thin so more taper on the strap would look more elegant.

Hi guys, I finished my project, hurra'! :drinks_cheers:
Fortunately I found someone you could help me out. Here the Vacheron 2000V with original calibre 1120 with Geneve Hallmark. :lovestruck:
What do you think about it? Do you like it?
Let me know!
That's beautiful piece.
Any source that you can suggest for cal 1120?
I bought it on ebay and it was not cheap (around 2000 USD), you could also buy an old Vacheron ultra thin dress watch at around 3000 USD, even a 1121 calibre would be fine.
Thanks for your rep. I'm looking but cannot see any cal 1120 alone on ebay at the moment.
If an old VC ultra thin dress around 3000, I may raise 1000 USD as I can source an old 42042 overseas gen 1 for 4000 USD in my country.

Hey guys I just purchased my first rep, VC 2000v, and the QC just came in. Is it proper to post the photos and ask everyone’s opinion?
No this is not how it works here

Killer watch!
As I told to the owner of this beauty, the VC 2000v is much more classier than any other ultra thin steel sports watch.
Color difference from case to bracelet can be seen cause it’s been plated in white gold.
I'm pretty sure gen is grey gold so it doesn't have that yellow hue
