Will a rep JJF bracelet fit a gen VC Overseas? I’m about to find out :-)

Hey

I have a gen VC Overseas Chronograph Deep Stream and would like to have the bracelet for it. However, the gen bracelet is around 2.100 EUR and I did not want to spend that much. So I’ve ordered a JJF Overseas (47040) on a bracelet from Puretime, which I should receive today or tomorrow

What do you think? Will the rep bracelet fit the gen watch? And secondly, is ok to put a rep bracelet/strap on a gen watch?

Not a huge interest . But none the less I will post the result for future reference. It does indeed fit - and I’m really impressed how well it fits. It sits as tight as the gen strap. Here’s some pictures...

Yes and no . I tried getting the gen strap on the JJF - I seemed to fit perfectly, but I could only get the pin 75% of the way. It was REALLY tight and I actually endned up bending one of the pins in the process. I will get some ‘gen’ pins (as they seemed a little slimmer) and try again. I should work - I managed to force the other pin in place (without bending it).

Getting the JJF bracelet on the gen was on the other hand really easy.

My gen IS the pre-2015 version, the 49150 - the newest ones are 5500v and the comes with the quick-change system for straps and bracelet (and no big date). So the straps are not interchangeable. Here’s a video of how the new system works:

I asked Puretime, but they said, that they could not source the bracelet in itself, so I had to buy the entire watch . Still looking to get a replacement pin to try and mount the gen strap on the rep.
