Hi there,

Can anyone advise on how to remove a V3 noob Daytona 116500 ceramic bezel and install a clean factory bezel?

Thanks for your help.

Search bar is your friend. In short, wrap a razor with electrical tape and work the bezel off very slowly from either side. Xtal may come off. Then you’ll need to buy a crystal press and press on the clean bezel by applying equal force. I’d watch a tutorial on how the press is used and maybe even buy a $20 cheapo bezel to practice as ceramic is liable to crack.

You're going to need a bezel removal tool and crystal press to do it correctly. As Rustyrandy said, those ceramic bezels are prone to breaking if not done correctly. Send it to your local modder or watchmaker and save yourself a headache :) with the right tools, it's like a 10 minute job.

Very, very slowly.

Think of a ceramic bezel as a thin piece of glazed pottery fitted to your watch. If you've ever broken a cup or a plate, then you'll have an idea of how brittle they are. Removing the bezel can be done reasonably easily using a razor blade, by working it up off the case slowly, making sure you work around the edges evenly, lifting just a very little at a time.

To replace it you need a crystal press, with a nylon die the correct diameter to allow you to apply even pressure on the new bezel.

It's not a DIY job for the faint-hearted!

Got it. Based on the above It would make more sense to post the watch to the watchmaker to avoid issues. Thanks a lot for your insights. Appreciated.
