Picked up a gen S&G for a steal, so had to compare vs the ZF Rep.

Watch 1 is on the left and the 1st pic everytime.

Thanks for the quality pics. Very impressed by the quality of a dial printing.
Wish they would had moved a pearl a bit to the up, that's the biggest tell.
Is it just the angle of the 1st photo, or the ZF minute and second hands are bit too short?

Can't wait for ZF BB58 btw, this should be such a easy rep.

Can‘t wait too...

But would it be so easy? They have to create a complete new Body, because of the 39mm? Or can they use an existing case?

Yeah, the smaller and slimmer case is needed, but they already know the shape of BB case.
BB58' bezel pearl and triangle are centered - that's easy, also the updated crown is like a Ranger crown and the factories nailed it in the Ranger reps.
The most important is to keep the quality of dial printing as we have see it in S&G.

Biggest and easiest tell is crown color. Way too dark compared to Gen.

Btw, rep is #1, gen #2

easiest way to tell is by the pearl and by the handstack. Gen has an evenly spaced hour minute second.

Good hint, the minute hand seems to be closer to the hour hand.

Hi, everyone, I got mine yesterday : ) Here's a little comment comparing it to my ZF BBB.

The watch case is similar to the previous version and I am not used to the extra attention bought by the TT bracelet.

And I also find the gold color a bit weird since it is quite yellowish, not as golden as I thought.

Bracelet:
The end links are the worst as the gold plating looks very thin - which the GEN has solid gold end links. As previously reviewed the middle links have thicker golden materials.

Dial:
The hands are of different color that BBB. The datewheel looks not aligned to the centre from some angle. I think I'll get used to it. However, I still prefer no-date. Lume is similar to presioup ZF BBs.

Bezel:
A bit easier to turn than my BBB.

Movement:
within 5 s/d so far.
I like the included NATO strap very much as it fits my small wrist quite well. In case if anyone want to sell theirs, please PM me.

Now, I need a break before the BB58's release.

the endlinks arent solid gold. it is a gold "cap" on the center of the endlink.

wearing my gen today. snapped a quick pic.

Thanks for your sharing! I also took a shot at my ZF for reference. I think it's one of the weakest part of the REP.

I have a gen as well, but the picture above is a huge negative.

Interesting that the gen bezel ridges are much crisper. Probably just as well, gold plating wears off of sharp edges faster.

To make the watch more subtle, I decided to swap the bracelet for a rubber strap.

The top brands are Rubber B and Everest. Although I prefer the Rubber B, I don't have the original clapse from the leather strap that it requires.

While seriously considering the Everest, I found another brand called Crafter Blue, which has rubber strap for Black Bay. As the price is 1/3 of the Top brand, it is a more logical option for using on a REP...

So, here it is:
