Newbie pics....

Going overseas next year, so thought I might as well get a semi decent camera.... Still not sure if I got the right one, but ended up getting the Sony NEX-5R, and so far I like it.... So many of you take amazing photos, so I would really love some input into my first attempt so I can improve....
