While on vacation in Aix-en-Provence, France, where I can get a Cuban, this was an almost daily smoke, otherwise, the Padron at home.. Mostly.
Hey all, just checking in after a wonderful smoke today from an unsuspecting stogie. Royal Dominicana Robusto, purchased in a box of 20 4 1/2 x 50 ring gauge.

Boy oh boy was I surprised. WONDERFUL smoke that absolutely would not burn out, budget stick that felt very nice and mellow. Great for beginners, but also lets you know you smoked a cigar by the end of your session. Very nutty flavors, super cool smoke, not a ton of smoke production but it was perfect for my hot sunny day. The great thing about these is I can leave the cigar in my mouth the entire time, without burning my nostrils. I found that to be a super pleasant part of smoking one of these beauty cheap sticks.

Idk, I always assumed cheap sticks weren't worth my time. I think I'm going to start diving deeper into the $1 stick area. I encourage you to do the same!
Try Bahia blue. Come in bundles. Hit or miss, but mostly worthy smoke for cheapies. Let em age too.... I smoked one at the end of a year deployment and it was heavenly.

^^ I totally agree with that sentiment. The guy who started JR Cigars is credited with saying, "the difference between a $10 cigar and a $2 cigar is about eight bucks." If you know what you're doing and you're willing to go through the trial & error, there are some great sticks out there. My go-to budget friendly ones are REO and Gurkha Class Regents -- both available at Cigars International and Cigar.com. Can't go wrong ...
