I had a couple of opuses during the last decade and none were even close to what they were supposed to be... Nice band design however :)

Dustin,

I was in such a rush to leave to Arizona, I totally forgot to include a Siglo VI in the mix. Never the less, I had quite some great cigars!!!

No pictures but il throw in an update...I've had 2 Graycliff Turbos and also a pair of 5 Vegas gold torpedoes since the last time I checked in. The Graycliffs in particular were very impressive.

Well I've had a box of opus x for a while now and never smoked them. So after reading the past few posts I think I'll give it a try tonight to see if it's as over rated as some of you guys say

Hey Robb,

Were you at a cigar club? Awesome picture in sepia.

Indeed, it was at my local cigar lounge. Nothing like a nice smoke while shooting pool, playing cards, or watching sports with some buds

and the pic was taken with a phone, believe it or not lol.

La Perla Habana Cobre Belicoso...

A Connecticut wrap; this one has spent a lot of time in the humidor. It's developed a nice, grassy sweetness. Perfect with a morning cup of coffee. :D

Another Connecticut that has been in the humidor awhile... Isla De Cuba; a boutique brand from Miami. These smokes are sooo much more refined after letting them rest. Smooth, creamy, nutty... mmmmmm, breakfast.

Decided to revisit the "gateway" cigar, Macanudo, in the form of the Hyde Park. Haven't had one of these since... Hell, I can't remember.

Effortless draw, very mild, almost too much so. Continuous notes of sweet cedar and grass throughout. Enjoyable with a cup of coffee or mowing the lawn, which is what I'm about to do.

All in all, nostalgic, but only a 5 out of 10 for my current palate.

Now THIS is what I'm talking about...

Montecristo White

Mild to medium bodied. Smooth, creamy yet earthy and complex with just a hint of spice. Chock-full of that rich and definable flavor that Montecristo is known for...

CAO Gold

Starts off a little dry with notes of leather and sweetness. Not as creamy as I would expect for a Connecticut. Mild to medium bodied. The last half opens up with some pepper and a hint of licorice or anise. The sweetness takes on a caramel flavor. Very nice.

The current run of cigars I'm smoking are from a sampler I bought from cigar.com for my birthday. This CAO would definitely improve with some time in humidor. Really enjoyable.
