Here's one I was happy to score recently which is a little hard to come by.

Lucky Lucky man. I picked up a couple bottles of Weller Special Reserve in 1.75 the last time I was visiting home in Texas. I haven't been lucky enough to find this yet.

Actually it was a lottery allocation through our local Liquor Board (LCBO). My name was drawn which allowed me to buy one bottle for $68.00 Cdn (about $55.00 U.S.)

Just this morning I entered another such lottery for a number of products which I'll learn in a few days if I'm lucky enough to be able to buy any. It's unlikely though as the supply is low and the demand high, Below is a copy of my submission.

I do, and more lately i got for free a bunch of around 50 bottles unopened bought by wife parents 30 years ago during their trips all around the world lol (they don't drink, that a must haha).

A few are ungoogalable or very few results of some auctioned bottle.

Blantons seems to be a fan favorite in this thread. Don't blame everybody - quality firewater!
Here's a little shrine to the drop!

ServPro Construction Manager needed some quick pretty serious exterior cladding rework after a botched job from joe blow contractor and this was the pre-invoice thank you gift on his behalf.

Needless to say if he calls in a pinch again I’ll be answering ready to dispatch the Brigade if necessary. Pretty cool gift imo especially for the scarcity here in the Lowcountry.

Doc - where in MI are you? I know of at least 3 different Michigan whiskey groups on FB. As slim as the pickings are here in MI, it was markedly worse in NC. At least Buffalo Trace and Eagle Rare stay on the shelves for more than an hour here.

I do enjoy some fine bourbon. I recently went to Louisville with a bunch of friends for a bit of the bourbon trail. We went to Makers, Bardstown, Willett, Heaven Hill, Peerless, Even Williams, Old Forester, Michters, Angel's Envy and hit up Justin's House of Bourbon. Picked up Bardstown Tripe Blend Stave Finish, Blanton's Green label, Old Bardstown BIB, Doc Swinson SBCS and Pinhook high proof.

Such a cool trip if you've never been. Prepare your liver!
