Just exchanged emails with Li. Not the best time to purchase a watch and have it shipped to Manila.

he told me that theres an agent who can ship watches from from to here in the Philippines. di ko lang macontact yung agent

Yeah, they can ship it for sure. Problem is it's going to be stuck somewhere in the postal system with little to no updates. I've got a crapton of stuff ordered throughout the ecq months, and only one of them has made it to the central post office, and it was ordered a month before lock down.

Yeah. He mentioned that. Maybe he meant that there are companies there who have business here? I’m sure that’s possible. With the current travel restrictions that we have, I think there are only a few who can provide that service.

It's possible for it to be something like Johnny Air or jinio (retail shipping agents for US-Ph). These are called package forwarders and the basic idea is that you use their warehouse as a shipping address and then they process the order for you. Next, they forward it to a postal service or delivery partner to their Philippine warehouse or office, and you either have to pick it up (in the case of Johnny Air), or their local delivery partner will deliver it to your door. This is the same kind of arrangement shopee and lazada use to ship around the PH except they have their own warehouses to consolidate orders in... And they are also the package forwarder. This is partly the reason why they're faster than the postal services). Amazon does pretty much the same thing for the US which is why they can push their employees to do 2 day shipping around the US or something.

Admittedly, I know only of the ones that have their api linked to be a front end for chinese e-commerce website orders (superbuy) , and know of none of those package forwarders from China who are willing to have non e-commerce stuff shipped on request. I've tried searching, and haven't found any good options.

Only DHL will work for China-Philippines atm. We currently have a ban instated against china packages. I don't know if a replica watch will get through DHL though so try at your own risk. Forwarders tend to use these expedited services so you won't circumvent them with forwarders.

Ideally, you don't. Just because someone else's experience with their replica says they can dip it in the bodies of water doesn't mean your gasket and seal is of the same level as theirs. Quality control is not something you go to replicas for, and amongst all the features of a watch that demands the most stringent quality control is water resistance. You would simply be risking your money by trying to use it in water.

Water damage is also one of the most dangerous kinds of damage for any watch. Once the insides start to rust...the watch is as good as a piece of scrap. Depending on how far the rust has gone...you'll spend anywhere between a new movement (which is still a risk) to being forced to buy a new one.

They're e-commerce + forwarders, and also one of the few exceptions to the ban like DHL and EMS (but EMS is super slow right now for the Philippines). Lazada and Shopee do not use regular channels. Regular postal packages are banned by the Philippines aka China Post (this is what the TDs usually use). I think it's better you ask the TDs if you doubt me because many chinese sellers are aware of the ban, and all have said the same thing about the ban. Lucy has specifically told me that the usual China Post option is not possible because of the ban.

This is the transcript of our email conversation:
__________________________________________________ ________________

“Oh,friend, sorry for reply you late,I have asked it for you 2 days ago,
my post man told me all shipping ways to Philippines stopped temporary,
so he advise us wait 1~2 weeks,

so friend, you can ask me about 1~2 weeks later again,
I will ask my post man for you again then,

when the shipping recover, then we can begin this order at once,
watch always in stock,so don't worry,we just need wait shipping back to normal.”

Regards
Lucy

From the FAQ of a Seller who ships using China Post from Guang Zhou:

__________________________________________________ ______________________
https://www.amoyanimestudio.com/blank-page-5

"Order is usually ready to ship about a week unless it has products availability problem.

When ready, ship worldwide from China directly. Tracking number will be provided.
Generally shipping takes about 10~26 working days, but may be extended due to weather, customs inspection, holidays, etc. (Due to COVID-19, most shipping has 10~20 days delay. Shipping to Philippines is temporarily suspended; Shipping to Canada and Singapore are significantly delayed.)"

^I spoke with this seller just a week ago, and I spoke to Lucy again just two days ago. The ban on China Post parcels still stands. You need to use expedited services like DHL or EMS to circumvent the ban.

Another correspondence just a few days ago with one of the largest Taobao shipping forwarders:
__________________________________________________ _______________________________

Dear Sir/Madam,

Good day!

Because of the Cov-19, there are many country's post service stop to accept the new parcels, this is the policy issue and we could not do anything to it wish you could understand that. For now only the DHL still could send the parcel for you to your country (Philippines), other shipping method cost and time are not very good for online customer to use, so we have to stop it, we could not let all your shipment lost with our compensation

Best Regards,
Tony, Customer Care Specialist

I think this is sufficient evidence that there is a ban currently imposed upon China Post parcels. It doesn't matter if Shoppe or Lazada can still ship since your TD can't ship to the Philippines with the method they tend to use. If you have to buy it now, DHL is your best option, but it can be very pricey. Speak to your TD, and arrange a shipping method that circumvents that parcel ban.

I hope everyone here is safe and well. I know this has been discussed in the thread before. How's everyone's rep collection? After buying, selling, and trading for the past months, I've been able to trim my rep collection down to three:

1. Noob Daytona
2. ARF Oyster Perpetual
3. Noob Submariner with SpongeBob bezel insert and Clark's crystal (assembled and serviced by Mang Loy)

It would be great to see everyone's updated collection.

Stay safe and well.

Higpit ng customs ngaun. DHL phils may incentive yan sa customs pag may na report silang illegal goods. Parang mga tanga lng. Droga dapat pinag aaksayahan nila ng panahon eh.

Seized ang item ko bro. Inorder ko nung July. Hehe. Pinagbabayad ako 37k for customs duties and tax. Hahaha. September 12 last convo namin ng DHL rep, hanggang sa nawala na yung tracking number ko. I assume they are enjoying the item na. Hehe
