I bought several watches here and some expensive onces, and i bought on CH24 and through second hand dealers as well.
I felt much more and better defended by Mods when I got problems here, than anywhere else ;-)

I’m aware there is no other place like RWI. I lurk on many watch fora, both gens and rep and both international and locals, but I never made any supportive donations in anyone. I did here, and that means something

What I’m saying is there is a much larger pool of potential buyers on the usual gen channels. Many people are here for the reps but yeah of course someone may be interested in gens, while on let’s say CH24 people’s there for gen only.

Seeing how the staff and the members deal with scammers here makes that Rayquaza twat even dumber to post it here. Not saying he got the payments via goods and services and by amex.

I do agree. This is a rep fora after all. Those big HVS gen sales should be on gen forums or CH24.

I’m on TRF and some local gen watch forums too and RWI is where I’ve learnt from the most knowledgeable and kindest people on the internet.
This scam, like all other scams, is perpetrated by someone or a group of individuals. And the same guy, wherever he goes, will be the scammer he is.

You can take the scammer out of the boards but you can never take the scammer out of the guy. He will be a fraud risk wherever he goes because of who he is.

Out of curiosity, why not use the word "fraud" in the thread headline? We here understand the "brig", but the Google searchers of the future will react to fraud more attentively. This thread is coming up as the second item on my Google search, so it's working. But I'd consider getting the word "fraud" out there front and central.

This guy has probably finished his college in Canada and is moving back to Morocco or somewhere else. I think this is his final con before leaving and I am sure he would be or is in the process of closing his bank accounts and cards. This is just a gut feeling and has no facts to back it up. But the way he has gone about this tells me he is going away. Buyers must not waste time at this point.

Check this out, looks like every month they have 1 or 2 accounts hacked.
This week a guy was scammed for 114060, three or four weeks ago another guy received a daytona which was nothing like a gen watch (no, not Horology house).

Amount in this thread is big, but for me in general rep side is a safer place.
