Closed back v open back IWC7750

Hi Guys, super noob here. I am just researching for my first rep and wondered if any of you movement experts have a view on this. I am interested in one of the two watches below. They are almost identical but for the fact that one has a more elaborately decorated/engraved movement. This I understand from a TD was a product of the manufacturer trying to make the movement more attractive as it is on show. The downside so the TD says is that it has made the movement more unstable than the plainer closed back version.

Does anyone have any experience of this or have an opinion? I would prefer the open back as it is a gorgeous thing.

I have the same dillema!! also new here ... was gonna go with closed back. which did you choose?
