Hello RWI,

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time reading these forums for the past few weeks so I know have a basic understanding of movements but some advice would still be nice. I am looking to purchase a rep Patek Philippe Nautilus but am unsure of the movement I should be going for.

The choice is between the 2813 or the 2836, both seem like good options. The 2836 is $80 more than the 2813. After doing some reading it seems as if the 2813 can vary a lot on how reliable it can actually be (although if you get a good one it can last for years) and its the cheaper of the two anyway. I ideally I need something that I don't have to maintain and that just works, i'm not to fussy over how the actual movement is in terms of smoothness ect.

All help is appreciated.

Thanks

Well I think you've answered your own question. Get the 2836, it's overall a much better movement and easier to deal with should it break.
