Can anuone who has a gen 2824 tell me how to remove and onsert the stem.
Mine is off with the watchmaker having the keyless works reset.
What tool do you use, a small screwdriver that fits in the slot to prevent the release button being pressed down to far, is that right. And it should be in the time setting position when I do this.
What else should I be aware of?

Cheers,
Daz.

That's it. Just don't push too far unless you want to do the keyless again...

The Glasshutte Senator rep I bought recently would not auto-wind, and in the course of investigation, I managed to mess up the keyless too. Despite knowing about being gentle etc., it failed. The reason was that instead of the nice slotted hole on the normal Asian movements, it just had a drilled hole. Since these 2824s are so cheap, rather than trying to fix the keyless which would still leave me with a watch that needed manual winding, I bought a movement on Ebay. This does have the slotted hole and, using the right screwdriver blade to unlatch the keyless, I've had the stem out several time now with no problems.
