asian to eta swap

Hey guys. I have a gen hamilton jazzmaster with an eta 2824. And i have a rep omega planet ocean liquid metal with an a2824 in it. I was wondering if i could swap the movements ( also swapping the date disc and all the hands of coarse.)

With the gen eta this would be my everyday watch. I just love this watch so much.

Yes. But you should make sure the omega has a 2824. The lmpo used to be advertised as a 2824 but came with a2836.

How does the date change on yours?

And if it is an a2824 it should be a super easy swap right.

If it is a A2824 is a direct swap
If it is a A2836 the hands would fit but it has a different stem height (so, no swap)

Does the date change instant or does it slow roll over 30 minutes?

2836 will change instantly, 2824 will droop early and roll over.

2836 is better for your lmpo for that reason and I think using a 2824 might cause the date to sink slightly compared to the dial.

Your preference should be to use a 2836, regardless of what you find in there.

Using a Swiss movement is a nice idea

cheked the watch its a 2824. The date switches at 12 exactly, super clean and very well centered. Im thinking of a straight swap more and more.
