I recently purchased a ZF Black Bay rep and would like to swap to a genuine swiss eta 2824 but I am concerned if the hands will fit the new movement. I read about it being a h2 pinion and am concerned it will not work. I will be having a watchmaker do the work but just want to know in advance of any possible problems. Any help or guidance on this is appreciated

If its a asian eta clone (a2824)then yes. Pretty easy swap with the right tools and steady hands. Sausage fingers need not try :p

Off memory, black bay hands have extended hand tubes to compensate for the clone movement not having #4 pinions on it, so your swiss 2824 will be a direct swap

I swapped the 2836 in my noob v8. Easy job, but I can't stress enough to invest in proper tools... polished hands scratch so easy.

Hi just to add to the OP query, is this direct swap also applicable with the ZF bb58 with 2824?
