Quick question has anyone removed a p.4000 from a case? The little stem button on the plate seems decorative. Do I need to remove the plate to access the real button? Any thoughts appreciated.

The setting lever has a screw, not to be pushed but unscrewed and then stem removed

Thx for the replies guys. I turned the little screw 360 degrees with the stem in wind position and the stem came out easily. Job done and all back together!

Yup. Unitas based movements have screws. This is why I always recommend people who want to start working on watches to start with. Much easier to work on than an eta
