I just got ARF explorer 1 from a TD last week. After debating whether to get it serviced before wearing it, I decided against the clean and lube service. So today I took it out of the box and started to wind it. I am feeling resistance and ticks...is this normal?? I thought I would ask for opinions before I contact the TD.

Thanks

How many times did you wind it? Looks like it might need service after all. It shouldn't "tick"

I owned a SH3135/3132 clone movement with this problem. It turned out one of the reverse wheel was broken. Clone movement's reverse wheel are not as durable as their genuine equivalent. If you can afford it (on top of your servicing cost), I always recommend buying 2x gen reverse wheels (part number 3135-540)
