I emailed trusty about the movement and his response:

"It is an Asia 23J movement that is slight better than Asia 2813 but not as good as Asia 2836"

Sounds like he may be describing a Shanghai “eta clone”, if that’s the case, then no, not easily repairable.

Now that's interesting! Thanks for the input. I'll research it.

If that's the case I wonder if the movement is cheap to replace with a new one. Or if it can be replaced with a 2836.

I looked them up on eBay and seem to be going for 40 dollars so it seems cheap to replace if they break down, assuming this is the actual movement.

If it’s a SH2824, new ones cost $20-$30 and could possibly be replaced with an A2824, but It’s all conjecture until you have the watch in hand and see what’s actually in there. Chances are the movement can be replaced with “something”...

You really seem hostile in this conversation. Are you sure it's not personal?

Now, I'll also tell you why your reasoning on the movement is invalid. It's cause it actually IS broad. The newbie section does not cover this movement. I emailed trusty about the movement and his response:

"It is an Asia 23J movement that is slight better than Asia 2813 but not as good as Asia 2836"

So here we are. Not something that thread would particularly explain.

I have handled enough reps and can make my informed decision regarding if I like the EWF or not. I don't need highly esteemed people to hold my hand purchasing reps. I did not ask for opinions regarding reps, just the movement. Especially not yours. I hope you can understand. Thanks.

Oh boy.... So for the 3rd time if you actually read the pinned newbie threads on movements its the first movement they cover.

"High beat DG2813 aka POS to most"

QUOTE=Duckber;n9954515]Bump. Does anyone know? Really want to try out these EWFs but would like to know if the movement can be fixable or replaceable.[/QUOTE]

I'm not sure why you can't read. It is not a 2813 movement and is not covered by the guide. Stop embarrassing yourself.

The 23 jewels is a 2813. Trusty "says it's slight better than Asia 2813" because that's what they told him. In reality it's worse than the low beat.

Again all covered in the newbie thread... Just simply read it.

2813 do not have 23 jewels. The movements in these ewf watches run at 8 beats per second. Therefore these cannot be 2813. I have never seen ignorant people be so confident.

Out of curiosity how many jewels are in a 2813?

Wow....the high beat 2813 is a 28,800vph alternative to a Asian ETA clone. There is a reason why trusty never said it's a 2824 or 2836.

No one argued against any of that nor is this considered a high beat 2813. You are sincerely the dumbest user on rwi and I'm a bit upset at myself for going against my word for continuing this discussion with such a proud idiot. I'm sorry for embarrassing you in the Ginault thread. Take care.

How do you contradict yourself on every post???

You just said it can't be a 2813 because the ewf beats 8 per second and a 2813 beats 6. I told you there is high beat 2813 that are 28,800 vph. It's covered in the newbie threads for the 5th time. Now you are saying no one argued against that? Do you forget what you write seconds after you write it or something?

Dang yogi, you got a bee in your bonnet! Did duckber shit in your pic-a-nic basket or something?

The Z2 Shanghai 2836 is not a 2813, it’s not a 2836 either - like the Shanghai 2824, it is it’s own special little pile of crap.

He has been holding a petty grudge ever since he was humiliated in the Ginault topic and was antagonistic ever since, even at the risk of looking stupid lol

Oh was he humiliated in the Ginault topic? Well, you should have mentioned that before.

You’re both behaving like children.

It’s great, carry on.

He got aggressive with me when I was telling him the EWF is junk. I don't even remember him in a Ginault thread but apparently he remembers me so that explains the aggressiveness.

The Z2 is called SB1HRZ2. Copy of a copy. It's been known for so long as the POS movement. It's a poor copy of an Asian eta movement. It's called hyper 2813 because it has the same crap as a dg2813 like screws in where hooks should be. The date change mechanism is terrible on these.
The response trusty gave him was "slight better than 2813"
It's exactly what the TDs used to say about these.
