Question about ew daydate

I was promised to find an ew factory 41 rg green dial on 3255. Someone saw such assemblies at the factory. looked at trust time and pure time but there was no. I don't know what to choose bp on swiss mvt or ew on 3255. help with the choice. I just remember there was an ew with a poorly machined bezel. Thank you all.

EWF will not have a true clone 3255. No one does. It will be a 2836 with a deco plate and fake engraving. I would never pay extra for a Chinese Swiss (stated) movement, though BP often gives you no choice with their DD's.

EWF is not a top tier factory so you are better off buying a BP or GMF. Even those have disappointed some members. The weight is an issue for some as all gen DD's are precious metal and weigh noticeably more.

I have 3 BP DD's and like them although the president bracelets because of their design feel lighter than an oyster does to begin with, and the links can be less than optimally finished (sharpish) in varying degrees. So the takeaway can be that they aren't great. I spent a LOT of time polishing the link edges on one bracelet and replaced another with an ARF DJ36 PCL oyster.

DD reps require you to lower your expectations a little but are decent enough IMO if you want the look.

Just like KJ said those swiss "eta" upgrades are not worth it... I don't think they are swiss made movements but rather asian movements with eta stamps.

Buy a BP "Swiss" ETA only if it's the only available movement on the watch you want. On many BP DD's, that will be the case. The movement will not be worse than an A2836 and FWIW I have a couple dozen BP movements at least and have always found them to be good quality, better than many others.
