just thought I’d post this link to this fantastic little story about professional Diver Bret Gilliam who wears a Gold Sub as it is intended a tool watch


I know most people ( including me) obsess over can you wear a gold watch everyday

this article kind of puts an argument for if you love a watch wear it !

anyway not a rep but a story for Rolex lovers in this forum

If someone is afraid to damage a gold watch - it just means the piece is too heavy for him. Noone is afraid of damaging a G-Shock. Same here, just digits are different. Gold is just a color and an increased price tag anyway, he loves his watch, it works good - why not to use it daily.

Great story. The Dick Anderson newspaper article is an interesting read also. I've always wanted a gen full gold 16618 LB, but I doubt that will happen.

Lucky for us we have this hobby, and for $300 or so we can wear beauties like this.

That’s a fantastic looking watch ... I tried a full gold rep Rolex Sub but felt too self conscious lol

I now have a gen victorinox maverick full Gold PVD dive watch and I still feel self conscious wearing that !!
