XF Factory Upcoming 126600 Sea-Dweller with Asian 2824 Movement

I've received and accepted QC for my XF126600 a few minutes ago, thought I'd share with you guys. Like that dial, much better markers than ARF, SEL recess looks good too. Hands look a little flat, might be due to the lighting though.

Dial looks amazing mate, also the xtal.

Yep it is buddy. I’ve gone with this as I’d prefer to pop a Swiss eta inside for daily reliability rather bother with a clone.

Good question, maybe one of our watchmakers can chime in here. The ETA 2824-2 or Sellita SW200-1 can be bought in 12 different hand fitting heights. Standard is the second smallest height and as far as I know frankens are usually built with what you get on the market.

For 16610, tall height #4 is correct. Most franken builders use stock Swiss eta with #2 and that makes the hour hand too close to the dial. To my eyes this looks irritating. Don’t know correct handstack for modern SDs.

Reliability of clone movements in 2021 is very good. No need to make your Watches less visually accurate by installing a gen Swiss eta with wrong hand stack height for Rolex

You're absolutely right! Only looked at the SW200-1 specs which has 12 heights available and wrongly assumed it's identical to ETA.

I'm actually a little confused by the specification. There's two pages with hand fitting height specs, one shows 12 options, one shows 8.

Edit: I see, the 8 options are for movements without second hand pinion.

I find these days the factories tend to use extended tube hand pinions to gain height. Arf certainly did on theirs. I tend to prefer h5 if needed but I’ve no intention of touching it unless it breaks. Probably won’t keep it long anyway, I never do lol!

It doesn't have a cf bezel as far as I know maybe the translation from trusty is not the best one.

Clean provide all the inserts to VSF/XF so it most likely is by them and I’ve heard from other sources that cf makes it so we will see.
