Trying to figure this out. I have put bezels back on before and there has always been a channel for the gasket. I dont see any place in the bezel for the gasket to sit. It looks as if it was just wedged in-between the bezel and the insert. I cant get it to click back on. What am I missing here?

It’s noob, why did you take it off? Looks like it was glued on, there are some threads out there explaining more in depth as to the flaws in their design.

My comment confirmed, it fell off because glue gave away from the tri lock ring it’s that 3 prong ring that was glued to the bezel. I had one fall off once. I’ll try to find the link.

KJ2020 - He is the man who can help. KJ put it back together using fishing line (instead of gasket)

I believe he mentioned he was a bit ill

Yeah, but he's not a modder who takes on other people's projects. As Down_Under says, he's a modder who shares his knowledge here. He'll tell you how to do it, he won't offer to do it (AFAIK).

If you have 2manywatches throw it away and get a VRF or ask KJ...

According to your photos, the gasket is still inside the groove. I suspect that the gasket may have been too flat and therefore the bezel came off. I would actually try to remove the gasket from the groove with tweezers and use a nylon fish line instead. Diameter between 0.5-0.75mm. It doesn't have to be a closed circle, the two ends don't have to meet. Since the thickness of the nylon line is slightly thicker than the original noob gasket, it will certainly hold the bezel in place better.

Edit: See my pic, this should be the groove:

Yea that seems like more than I want to do myself. I wish other factories had the blue color nailed down like noob does. Is that still accurate or does anyone now have a better version?

Just buy a VRF and put the Noob insert on it. Done. Then you also get a reliable 3185 clone working in the watch.

Just heat it up with a hairdryer to soften the glue between bezel and insert. If the bezel is still mounted on the watch you need to try to put a thin razorblade between bezel and insert on the outer side and then lift the insert carefully. This works perfectly on the VRF GMT.

I know that this might be a little bit more difficult on the Noob since the gap on the outer side between bezel and insert is very tight. Here I used a thin but flexible bit of plastic and put it in the gap between insert and crystal and pushed under the insert. Then go around.

But since your bezel is already off the watch it‘s much easier for you to separate the insert from the bezel from the underside.

This is noob failed design.

You need to take off insert. Heat it up and use razor blade to slide under insert and slowly work it out and lighty lift it up.

You might want to use new glue strip to install the insert.

Bezel goes first on the case and then install that white hyrtel gasket between case and the top of the bezel. Be very careful not to bend it or stretch it or it won't work.

There is a thread here on rwi somewhere explaining that with pics just look for it.

3m bezel stickers to reinstall insert :
