116613LN and 126613LB.. that's the combo to have. The 12LB has nice white print on the dial same as the 11LN..

I wore a 11LB for 2years straight then one day I hated it. The blue bezel does not suit the watch imo. The blue bezel suited the early 116613LB with the flat blue dial, that's the dial it was designed for, but when they discontinued the flat blue dial and replaced it with sunburst in 2013 they should have updated the bezel too and made it darker. The 16613LB before it has a nice rich blue colour bezel (there were a few shades over the years) but the 116613LB got it wrong.

Gold weighs about 19.3 grams per cubic centimeter. That means if you had a small gold dice cube of size 1 cm x 1 cm x 1 cm, (i.e., with a volume of 1 cubic centimeter), it would weigh 19.3 grams. So 1 grams would theoretically fill a volume of 1/19.3 cubic centimeters or 0.050 cubic centimeters.

Volume is area x height, (i.e., area x thickness). So theoretically 1 grams can plate an area x thickness totaling 0.050 cubic centimeters. If the thickness is 20 microns, i.e., 0.0020 cm, then the area you can plate with that much gold is 0.050/0.002 = 25 square centimeters.

3g of gold would plate a 20 micron 75 sq cm... I would guess that a two tones need a lot less.

Because it's a lie and not real gold. It would be a disaster if it actually was real gold plated.

(0.8cm width * 2.5 circumference) *16 mid links + 3.2 clasp + accounting for extra size of sel + bezel + crown = about 41cm2

If they don’t plate the sides this will all be done in vain. It’s an instant tell and something the community has voiced concern over numerous times.

That's the biggest concern with these reps... the ARF 116613 looks 10k to 14k in colour. The VRF wrapped version has the orange tint issue.

Judging from their omega smp300 reps, they have shown that they are capable of doing gold pretty well. Let's hope that translates to these two tone reps.

It’s just a thicker layer so scratches won’t show any steel underneath.
