you see I didnt take a photo before and after so it would not be of great use showing it how it is now; the main point we should consider and take back here is that this is an inexpensive but highly effective solution.
I spent :
$2 for uniposca silver
$2 for uniposca white
$3 for superfine detailing brush
$5 for a box of 100 individually sealed alcohol (isopropyl 70%) swabs
and the results are stellar, you can't see any lump or defect or anything..it seems perfect to my bare eyes - i dont have nor would use a loupe anyway. Where in dim light it was an almost black bezel, it is now a very luminous, legible bezel.
Furthermore the process is extremely quick (20-30 minutes) and you can just go few rounds of floods (i'm at 4 altogether) without noticing lumps or uneven spots.

Next one I do I'll try to be more detail-oriented. And yes I regret having paid so much money for a CF bezel for another daytona I have. (not that CF is worse, it's just FOR ME I would be more than happy with the posca flood bezel)

really hard to be precise because when you press the posca head it spurts out like a teenager sometimes, i think you can visually guesstimate the right color while you are mixing them. The fact that you mix on a plastic mat it gives you margins since the mix will stay runny
KJ2020 says 1 part of white, 2 of silver. Thereabout i'd say.

An important aspect of these paint mods is continuing care.
Rule #1 - Keep yer grimy mitts off the bezels!
Rule #2 - Don't expose them to dusty and dirty environments
Rule #3 - Don't get them wet, which can carry dirt into the markers
Rule #4 - Clean with a non-alcohol based cleaner and a cloth or a wipe than doesn't dip into the markers. Keep the wipe taut so it swipes only the flat surface.
Rule #5 - If you do have to clean inside a marker, use mild soap and a thick soft artist's brush for the best chance of not disturbing the acrylic paint. Rinse in a thin steam of water running away from the crystal. Make sure the crown and pushers (if present) are screwed down tightly and avoid direct water contact as much as possible.
I have some paint mods two years old now that still look good.
