Looking at my 126610 and my gen GMT II, I see a similar cyclops distortion on the gen. It’s not something I ever noticed.

Yikes that's going to be hard to unsee, sorry bro. You might have saved us all a bunch of money though. I'm pretty easy when it comes to living with flaws - my gen 16710 non AR cyclops is actually pretty bad. But distortion is something that's always bugged me. I actually made my VSF look like it said 38 the other day, like this VRF GMT. I don't have a pic of the VSF like this I was just eyeing it critically.

Update on the VS3235 winding issue:

I spent some time looking for a replacement curved spring washer to no avail. The measurements of the rep part are (approximately):

OD: 2.5mm
ID: 1.1mm
Thickness: 0.03mm

The smallest one I found had an ID of 0.1", which is 2.54mm so no dice there.

So I made one and ended up taking the rep part out because it's garbage. I started with a 0.15mm stock plate and tried several thicknesses, ending at 0.09mm. I put a bend in the replacement washer and tried both orientations. It worked both ways but seems a little better dome up like the gen and rep are.

It works again here's some pics and a video.

I might do a separate post on the making of the washer, in case anyone might need to do this. I have plenty of pics.

gen gmt has a bit of cyclops edge distortion. Maybe not as much as the vsf?

respect bro, that's watchmaking at its best !

looks to be working perfectly from the vid :applause:

Thanks bro. It's "workmanlike" but that's about all it needed to be. I'm eyeing that gen part pretty enviously.

Is there something wrong with the cyclops? It looks very hazy in the pic like there is no AR. Or is it just the lighting issue causing such effect?
Any comments would be most appreciated.
