KJ2020 just for curiosity purposes, how did you locate it on C24? What key words did you type actually? I somehow am having difficulties in locating parts on C24 eg. I typed rolex 24-704 it gave zero results!?

Search google for part # B32-23169-Y2 and look at the lists. You can add Chrono24 to search box but those hits usually come up anyway. Also add Rolex to search box if not successful.

Your readings are OK bro. Amplitude is a tad high but the watch may have been fully wound which increases that reading. These pics are usually taken without waiting for movements to settle into a steady state. The two prior -19 s/d readings show that the movement was not fully settled and the scattered blips would likely dissipate. You could ask for another reading if you feel the need to.

325° is a very high amplitude for a 3235. It would even be high if it was a 3135 but the 3235 usually operates on a lower amplitude. In addition to that is the lift angle not set correctly. It is likley to be even higher with the correct lift angle set (55°?).

The VS3235 does not have a 3235 balance assembly. It's a 3135 rep balance on a rep 3235 bridge. So the lift angle of 52 is correct. From the Rolex 3135 service manual, 310 is the upper recommend tolerance limit for amplitude when fully wound. I don't consider 325 amplitude on a rep movement snapshot reading to be grounds for rejection. Amplitude drops off pretty quickly as the mainspring unwinds from full.

3.5 seconds fast in 3 weeks since installing genuine balance and bridge. Compared with atomic clock website.

Where have people been sourcing their gen 3235 balance and bridges from? I've been scouring the internet but can't seem to find many available?

Yep, seen a couple of balances but not many bridges - was hoping there would be some other vendor than ebay that people were sourcing them from. I guess this leads onto - Is there anyone on the forum that sources these kind of movement parts? bridges, balances, auto-wind modules, reversing wheels etc...

Vsf even made a post saying that if their 3235 fully wound is more than 280 at 52 degrees which is the wrong angle then its most likely a bootleg 3235. I have posted a whole explanation about it ages ago.

Have you seen the "honest" prices of Rolly spare parts..........?
Absurd , 2 rubber pads at the cost of a Swiss Eta2824.
I've read what you have written about the adjustment on the chronocomparator. Adjustments on this 3235 must be made with the watch received.
If you are lucky you don't have to open it , otherwise you need to adjust it. But all the latter , instead of having + xx , have -xx.
I'll give you an example of mine. It was going to -25 sec every 24 hours. I had it checked and adjusted, and on the chronocomparator it gave +0 +2.
Once worn and not just placed on the table with the glass facing up , it is set to -4 seconds every 24 hours.
It is an oddity of this Asian caliber. I talked to a few people who have this watch, bought about a month ago. They all go negative , that is , instead of having + xx seconds , they always have -xx seconds , even if the balance wheel is checked and registered......
So if the watch is aesthetically perfect I would accept it.
This is my personal experience and opinion... :)

I'd be interested in seeing that if you can post a link bro.

You can measure the actual lift angle of a balance very easily. This video shows how

Mine measured just under 52, which is why I believe it to be a 3135 balance. The 3235 would need a slightly wider impulse pin to engage the pallet fork slightly sooner and for a slightly longer duration, creating the increased lift angle.

My initial amplitude was 305 also so maybe I got a "bootleg" part, lol. Funny that VSF would call it that since that's exactly what every rep part is. I'm in the process of servicing mine right now so it will be interesting to get some measurements afterward.
