Yes bro, you’ve got my OCD bug... I do have a Gen insert coming to finish this off.
Too bad ARF mess the colour up, but sooo close.

Are there different variants of the ARF insert? As I’ve seen one for sale with a slightly lower transition at 18

Thanks for the explanation. Surprised to learn that it is a straight press fit for the ARF insert onto the Noob bezel, and also no need of any mods of the tube hole for the gen tube. These save lots of works really.
In this respect, Noob V11 116710 BLNR surely would be the best base watch for the franken project.
Looking forward to seeing your final mod with the gen insert.

That explains the gen hour wheel good to know. Lucky fit on the insert then, it was not so on my earlier version Noob. Will be interesting to see if gen insert fits the same. It really is a beautiful build!

"Best" (which by itself is a subjective opinion) would be the ROF Batman. It uses VR movement, has the same insert as ARF and case/rehaut/SEL/CG is pretty acceptable. If you put an ARF bezel mechanism (ROF bezel is questionable quality depending on individual samples) and bracelet, it makes it even better.
If you are willing to spend a bit more on the hybrid build - start with Noob v11 case (case polish, rehaut and CG shape slightly better than ROF) and then use ARF bracelet/insert.
After that you can add gen parts based on your interests.

Arf is the best insert by far. This is the major improvement on this watch.

the case has skinny crown guards similar to 126710 but the dial lacks the coronet at 6h.
The case is supposedly consistent with the maxi case of the 116710 but to be honest I can't really see the apparent difference between that and the supposedly slimmer 126710 case. Paerhaps I could when in hand but not on photos.
Then the ARF comes with the oyster like the 116710 but as of this year you can get the 126710 with oyster or jubilee.
And the ARF has the lesser clone movement.
Overall the ARF is my choice, gonna order it myself soon

ARF has a few significant disadvantages:
Skinny CGs for a 116710
The SH3186 is greatly inferior to the VR3185, you might as well just plan on replacing it
The dial and hands lume are SHOCK white, to the point of looking totally fake in outdoor settings.
The VRF V3 with CF insert or the ROF would be a better choice now IMO. There has not been widespread confirmation that the insert is actually from CF, but Intime and PT are claiming it is. Whether it is or not, it is a very nice looking insert although the 18 transition is slightly low. That does eliminate the more visible join line at 18 so at least there's a benefit to the lower placement. It may have been intentional for that reason. There are some ARF inserts with a similar low 18 transition.
The crystal on the VRF is not great, and would require replacement IMO. You could say the same about most reps.
ROF appears to be a partner factory to VRF, making reps in 316L. Their Batman insert is likely to be from the same source as VRF's, not the same source as ARF. Here is an ROF QC. The insert looks just like the VRF insert to me.
The crystal on the ROF has been reported as acceptable and I can agree to that as the one on my ROF BLRO is not going to get changed.
