Man, the new OP 41mm from Rolex has been one of my favourite releases this year along with Seiko SPB143/SPB147 and probably the only Rolex that has peeked my interest in recent years.

Sure, the new 41mm case size is a little bothersome as I wish they still had something between 36 and 41mm so I was saddened to see the 39mm be discontinued.

With that said, I love the new colors! Especially the yellow and coral. So I was very pleased to hear that EWF is out with the new OP 41mm in all the colors! If EWF decide to make these in 36mm then that would be my pick, I think.

You can pick one up for $278 (I don't know if this price is for a limited time only). You can see them at Trusty Time.

Anyone else getting one of these?

EWF is an entry level factory, not on par with the mainstream factories. A new release is at this price point for a reason. You might get an OK sample, they are not complicated watches after all. The double hour markers at 3 6 9 both look bad IMO and are going to be a problem for straightness and alignment. Compare the 3 and 6 markers on the Tiffany blue for different spacing and the 6 markers are not parallel.

I was wondering about EWF as there are nice offers on Trusty Time but now I think I ll wait for someone to get one of these OP 41 ;)

You are most likely right. I just got carried away for a bit when I saw the newsletter from Trusty Time.

I hope ARF/ZF/ZFF/RXF etc. make a better replica but I don't know if the 36mm and 41mm OP is too niche.

Some of the bigger factories will make the new 41mm OP I think. After they get their 12661x Subs rolled out.

The pics on TD’s website of the EWF 41mm OP has the etching on the rehaut blurred out. Has anyone seen a clearer pic or anything?

Pleasantly surprised with this watch.
The dial is pretty good, the gold tones are amazing. The printing is a bit flat
The feel of the bracelet does feel a little less solid than my Gen Airking bracelet.
The winding is very gritty, it's not smooth
The case feels good.
This is the first factory that has released this watch.... so there is no other option.
Overall, if you really want one, then go for it. I wanted to see this watch as I have my name down for the gen. These days, getting a rep seems like the only way to get a look and feel of the watch.

I got both my gen and rep 124300 today and I like this EWF version indeed. What I’d mod? Let’s say the xtal and maybe the brushing of the bracelet.

I think is doesn’t worth the extra $110. I’m seeing the same issues just like the EWF version
