This is a move that ARF is making in desperation to stay relevant. There have been so many new submariner releases and this is them trying to stay in the conversation. They can only squeeze so much out of their suppliers. This is a joke of a release. ARF is definitely declining as a factory. The fact that in a few short months the newcomers have made them irrelevant in the submariner conversation speaks volumes to how they've been resting on their laurels for so long. The bracelet and clasp and overall build quality of an ARF watch used to be a differentiator but that margin of improvement is narrowing and it certainly isn't worth it at the premiums their asking versus an RXF.

How does the rxf compare with gen in terms of weight? And how is the feeling of the bracelet?

I dont have a gen 116610 on hand. But from the ones ive handled its very similar. On the wrist there is no difference, the bracelet is very nice and smooth honestly no complaints.

These are the a2824 which never really had thick date wheels, supposedly the new 3135 versions will use the VR movement so hopefully they will be good!

Disagree your comment ...... i've head 2 v3 hulks and bith came with the bold dw...... both with 2824 movement !
Same like my v3 Dj41 with 2824 , also fat dw.

Ya me too, I had 1 v1 2824 without bold datewheel but included the crown always looks unscrewed option. All others worst datewheel ever across models.

Thing is the rest of the watch was killer. If I only knew then what I know now. Started with getting rid of the datewheel on my 3135 , then it became all gen except the movement, case and bracelet

ARF released their 114060 with their own movement. This should be interesting.

Now that Angus has the V4 LV listed, I’m looking forward to opinions. I’m considering the VSF LV and the ARF as perhaps a ZZF V3. I hope that Angus will consider including them in his review. If not hopefully these (the VSF and the ARF LV’s) will get into the hands of the members.

I keep coming back to this as i wanted it to be good. I think my main complaint here is the price for a 2824. I am not opposed to a 2824 at all, they seem reliable and ive had decent luck with them overall, but man the price just kills this for me.

at least these are the 3135 versions of the V4 but $478 and $528? I’m waiting for the pictures of the VSF hulk to see how good it is
