Hi all,
I just my exp1 from Sead and while I hear the weight spinning the movement wont start. What do I do? I moved it plenty already to give it some initial winding.

Manually wind it, unscrew the crown until it’s free, do not pull it out, and wind clockwise about 20 or so turns, if the movement starts then the movements OK, and could be a faulty autowind

Have you tried hand-winding it?

EDIT: spitfire beat me to it with a far more informative, helpful reply. :)

I wound in manually, it did start then but just for 45 sek. Now it is dead again. When losening the crown it starts for like 15 seks again, then stops.

It actually runs a little longer when I dont screw in the crown. Faulty movement?

Maybe the stem is too long- when you screw it down it impedes the movement. Or something is loose in there and stopping the movement.

Its a little like a black box. I cannot open it and I would not have the expertise to fix it anyway. It just does not run and that is disappointing. I opened a thread in the TDs section of the forum, maybe the mods should close this one, I do not want to spam the forum.

It’s the starter relay, had to replace one on my explorer, and a new battery.

But the watch does not have a battery, right? I am confused, maybe my English is not sufficient here.

If the obvious things haven't worked it's probably best to send it for a service.
