Hey guys! So basically I’ve having someone fix a screw up another watchsmith made, they swapped my 2824 movement because they did not know how to reattach the stem that came out. The movement used was crap quality based on the loud ball bearing sound. He also swapped the original hands with the Mercedes hands for some reason and left a gap in the date wheel window. I sent the current watchsmith who had good reviews on here the watch, 2824 movement from ebay and hand replacements.

The issue is that there's no way to get the date wheel or a date wheel overlay which they have to center over properly in the calendar window of the gen dial. Where can I look for a date wheel or overlay for a 2824 that will work with a gen Rolex dial. Thanks!

Haha. I am just having a hard time sourcing the part. One person who messaged me with a DW from the same watch but they want $80 and that seems steep.

For a gen dial on ARF DJ 41, you need the gen 3235 DW which can be overplayed on the 2824 movement.

interaktiv Contact him, he can source the DW and do the work

srhoque Hi, If I enjoy the ARF DWO, but want to use a gen dial. Can I just reuse the ARF DWO with gen dial or not fit please?

The ARF DJ41 dial date window (and DW) are in the same position as the gen 3136 and 3235 parts. So you can use either gen dial and keep the ARF DW. But both model gen dials will need some modding to fit on a 2824. A 116x 3136 dial has feet in the wrong place, a 126x 3235 dial has no feet with underside friction rims.

Gotcha KJ! Massive thanks for your kind comments!!! I knew to sand the dial feet of my gen dial. That's done. I've dial dots at the ready when application comes time.
I bought A 2826 watch with gen DWO attached recently. The watch didn't keep time (30minutes out per day) and had rust and marks on the case inner, I got fed up with it and decided to transfer lots of bits from it into my ARF 2824 case instead for a brand new looking watch. So I will transfer the dial, hands over.

I have confidence with modding but no experience with DWO.
I was really suprised when i opened my ARF 2824 DJ 41 and saw a weird style DWO rather than the glued on type I've seen before. It's like a disc that floats on the top of the eta clone's datewheel. Really weird.
I don't know whether my plan of attack could be:

1) Learn to put the whole 2826 datewheel and gen overlay onto a 2824 movement because I read that in that way it will physcially fit. (also I read that 2824 movement's datewheel transferred onto 2836, the other way, will not fit).
2) leave the weird floating ARF dwo on the movement and try to apply the dial as normal and see what goes on.
3) learn to apply DWO anew to the 2824 or send to a modder (I prefer to do work myself)

Anyway massive thanks. I really appreciate your help for answering that query! :D

This -> 2) leave the weird floating ARF dwo on the movement and try to apply the dial as normal and see what goes on.

ARF made these with a vertical curve in them to clear the underlying components. A gen dial should clear, same as the rep dial does.
