Noob V4 Daytona's

A few days ago I sent a request to Pure time about the V4. They said, that they only order V4 versions and it will take a few days that the V4 pics will appear on their website...

Hello everyone!

I'm reading in the forum for a while, but this is my first post.
I really like the Daytona and for me as a noobie the V4 looks very good. I'm just wondering which color is the more versatile one. I still have a few watches with black dials and for me black is quite neutral. What you guys think about the white one as far as versatility is concerned? I think white looks sportier...
Which one would you prefer?

Personally I prefer the Black Dial 116500, but judging from all of the QC pictures that I have reviewed on this forum, the White Panda has been by far, much more popular.

Go for the black dial. I've had the white one before, I found it very bland looking. The black one looks a lot more premium.

Edges seem to be more round compare to gen sharp edges. I believe noob used to have sharp ones, now it close to CF ?

Exactly!! If you have them it not necessaries to re-order with V.4 just get some mod and enjoy ~

If anyone is interested, Andrew said he could source out just the white dial for about 95 bucks. I'm on the fence about changing the dial in my v3. still looking into whether the v4 dial will slide right into the v3 without any mods.

Ok to sum up what I think I’ve gathered from this thread so far, granted we need more QC pics.

V4 changes

-The sub-dials appears to be closer to the proper thickness.
- The numbers on the sub-dials are properly inside justified.
- The UNITS PER HOUR font has been adjusted but may, or may not be too thick now.
- The red color of DAYTONA has been changed and is darker than before.
- The nipples on the hands have been adjusted to appear more three dimensional.
- The “O” in ROLEX is still the same as previous versions, and is still incorrect.
- The coronet on the dial and the crown is.... some say too round, some say too flat.
- The sub-dial print is definitely more crisp than v3.
- A few people are saying the changes make the dial look like v2.2 with small changes to the bezel.
- The SELs look meh on some pictures but ok on others.
- V4 still uses white looking crystal gasket.

feel free to correct any errors of my summation.

I can't imagine the dial wouldn't be a 1:1 swap bro, it's the same movement from the same factory.

I wanted to cop a daytona from noob since longtime, i was badly pending for a new iteration (for see a few things fixed like red daytona color) but instead they made it worse than a v3...

So pending a new release...

Spot on mate, I don't see the significant reason to upgrade from v3 to v4.

Agreed.

This V4 definitely could benefit from the ARF dial swap on the 116500. In my opinion the only improvement on the V4 panda dial is the subdial thickness... the coronet looks like someone dropped it and dented the bottom. Just beneath that, the 5 lines of print look thick and gooey - they lack detail/crispness.. The worst part for me is the word “ROLEX”.

I don’t even think labeling the images is necessary. The ARF dial is easy to spot here.

Only if arf fixes shiny subdials on black dial and proper subdial thickness on V3 then we would have a awesome dial that we can swap.

For me, the V4 looks better, with a couple of nice improvements, as listed above. V3 with the thinny subdials was an absolute no go, at least for me. Anyway, I am wondering if putting on the CF bezel is a must, despite the improved bezel. Probably is, have it on the 116519, looks superb.

KS watches has what he describes as a V10 AP Diver which looks to have the ' ghost lines ' on the bezel numbers so looks like one with this upgrade has materialised Edit: Just looked again it has been sold , but the pictures are still up if you want to have a look at the bezel numbers and see what you think .
