Rolex announcing new releases 9/1/20

Well, I'm sure we all know that Rolex held off announcing any new models at the start of covid. They said they'd hold off for the year and hold off indefinitely.

Now they confirmed with The Robb Report that they will announce new models come September 1.

I can't wait to see what's coming.

YES!! I hope they slim down the lugs to a more classic shape, just like the latest Datejust.
I am not a fan of those chunky lugs on ceramic sub and GMT.

I wish, but unfortunately don't see it happening this year. The 50th anniversary for the Explorer II comes next year, my thinking is they'd probably hold off on any change until then. There's still hope for that white dial Explorer I like you say.

Lots of forum members are getting this one - I saw it at an AD and it was an insta-buy.

I don’t see a ss smurf though (although its getting talked about on WuS). It would piss of those with the original wg. Its true that the pepsi was updated, but on a jubilee. I don’t see them putting a jubilee on a sub.

+ to my earlier point, it would pretty much be a bb58bkue with a ceramic bezel and a logo. I can’t imagine rolex pissing on their little sister like that, but also on paper the specs of the mt5402 are near as dammit the same as a 3235.

Maybe they’ll take the opportunity to kill the Milgauss or update the airking so it does not look like the joker in the pack.
