No way this is Chinese? I don’t know what to look for though. Overall it looks too good to be a rep in my eyes.
It could be the angle. It looked to me like it has those long VRF minute and seconds hands.
It's weird he doesn't have papers or proof of purchase. Maybe someone with gen here could compare. Those hands reminded me of the VRF long ones, especially the last 2 pics.

The case is certainly gen. Look at the font on the serial number - the 3 is the correct font that no rep maker has gotten right. The overall rehaut engraving is too clean to be a rep. Combined with the correct cap for the cannon pin on the seconds hand, and I would say its a gen watch.

It looks good. The insert is good and it’s kind of a sore spot for most reps. The 6 and 9 markers look good, they’re nice and rounded at the corners. The crystal is bothering me through. It seems way too reflective. But that’s probably just the lighting. The bracelet looks good. The case looks good. The rehaut looks good so I don’t think there’s anything to worry about. But that crystal is still bothering me. But then in those two new pics it looks fine so it’s probably just the lighting in the earlier pics.

Sometimes it is tough to tell In pics.
Some Omega models have a different (white) color lume on the min Hand. Some new Panerai too (blue and green) but sometimes you can take pics and be unable to distinguish the different colors in a picture.
