Dear forum members,

Tqia

That particular movement is classified as SA3135... There are 3 main 3135 clones (SA3135, SH3135, and VR3135). The main tell on the SA3135 is the lack of paint on the tips of the reversing wheels (red gears).

Tq very much Saucin. Just wondering can i swap to a 2824-2 or et easily? The particular movement does not have instant date change at 12 ish. The dw start turning from 10.30 and slowly till 12.

I’m not an expert on that subject. KJ2020 would know better than I.

If I were you I’d probably just swap that movement out for a VR3135. They are roughly $130 now...fair price for a quality movement.

Tq Saucin... You r very helpful. Where can i source a vr3135, so it has the same function as the original 3135(dw change instantly). Where can i get one?

You can find them on eBay. The VR3135 will have the quick date change functionality.

Here is one for sale:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/324212107212

Note the title of the listing says it is an SA3135, but don’t worry.... The movement pictured is indeed the VR3135. They have a blue hair spring and gold balance shock. Other members have purchased these and confirmed as well.

Again I’m not an expert on this. Maybe KJ2020 will see this and reply in the morning.

It is relatively easy if the watch hands that fit in a SA3135 fit in a VR3135. However I don’t know this for sure. I’d wait for someone who has experience with this to reply before buying anything.

If everything ends up working out and you want to go ahead and do the movement swap... I’d suggest sending it to a watchmaker here on the forums (if you have no experience). The tools to do it yourself would cost much more than you’d pay a watchmaker to do it for you.

Thanks kj2020. I manage to remove the auto winding mechanism and the watch looks different from 3135

No no, tq heska... You been helpful also. When i change the time, i turn the crown cw, the time move forward, so thats the same as gen but not a character of a2824 yea? (correct me if i am wrong.) but the date doesnt change instantly so possible not a 2836... Lol i am confused and noob as well.
