Looks that way on the gen and the rep to me. The FG rep has a YG rotor I think

I really want to see the bracelet. But if you take a look at the case, you can see how they transition between maybe a brushed finished and what looks like a powder coating.
I think it is safe to assume that this is what they’re doing on the bracelet.
Again, this is the gen and there is some interesting details and transitions between materials and finishes. I’m eager to see the rep and see how well they copied it.
But if you look at that last pic, you can see see the case is brushed on the front of the lugs but if you look at the side, it looks different and you can see a distinct transition. Same on the 3rd pic at the crown guard.
I’m guessing the center strip on the clasp is that powder coat. Because the bracelet itself looks brushed.
Also, a lot of pictures I look at have me saying to myself “the center links of the bracelet look polished” - at least in the pic I’m looking at when I say that, they look polished on top and brushed on the bottom. Maybe it is just a different finish. Maybe it is that powder coat.
And again, this is on the gen which doesn’t mean that detail made it to the rep.

Very cool movement! How did they even rep that movement?! Considering the gen is pretty hard to source for.
The movement has been repped, the rep factory modded the rep movement to rep this watch

I guess what he means is how they got the dimensions of the reworked inner parts and used materials, finishing etc because to do that accurately they would have to posess and disassemble a 100000 Dollar watch.
But i think they just did it with their eysesight. I mean it's not like they had to create the whole movement from scratch but just modify existing parts to make them look more or less like the real thing.
Look at mircasol. He did a Daytona all by himself and it turned out to be excellent.
oh.. sorry it makes more sense now.
I have just pulled the trigger.. will post some macro shots once I have received it

My exact thoughts! Now I'm wondering if they would manufacture forged carbon bezel inserts and sell like CF for daytona, sub and gmt, it could turn out to be really amazing mods!
Yeah it's crazy how exact They can replicate something like this and then miss the misspelling on artisan
.But often it's the obvious mistakes you dont see when you are deep into something.
I remember checking double every little detail of some work just to have someone come and spot a big mistake right of the bat

To me it's more amazing that they spend all this effort and money on such a niche product when they can instead produce good reps of more mainstream watches...

Maybe vrfs Boss wanted one but did not want to spent 100k on a watch and told his engineers to "simply" produce him one

Perhaps, but how many people here had pulled the trigger yet? I might be wrong and is a long thread, it seems like I'm the only one who had confirmed.
