Don’t push the pushers?

I read in another thread someone’s rep stopped working after playing with the pushers on a faux subdial A7750.

I have an ARF v2 116500 en route from InTime, knowing the 3 and 9 subdials are faux, I don’t plan on fiddling with the pushers but am curious if messing with them would in fact damage the movement?

Do you use the pushers to function the large second hand? Or the subdial at 6? I do on my ARF, never worried about messing up the rest of the movement. Ultimately things will always go wrong with some reps, and some will be fine.
