Did Rolex make this Daytona dial?

Hello RWI Rolex Enthusiasts.
I am looking at an interesting Daytona face and realized the numbers are all upright (see picture) - does anyone know the history behind this difference?

That dial is a Gen 116509/116519 dial that was used by Rolex in White Gold Daytonas some years ago. However the watch in your picture seems to be a stainless steel model as it does not have the correct bezel (it is a 116520 bezel) and most likely is not a white gold case. So to me all parts look Gen but the watch itself is some kind of Franken mixup.

I believe they call this Arabic numbers. Very cool to distinguish as 18k white gold version. At least the dial indicates this. Actual example looks like a franken
