Hello,
(First of all sorry for my not very good English, I hope to be understandable.)

I'm here to get help putting back a spring bar of a Datejust Jubilee.
I had very few Rolex and by wanting to remove a part of the bracelet, it is impossible to put back the Spring Bar.

Here is the area in question :

I removed the bar, but I can't put it back.
Either it clips well at the bottom but not at the top, or the opposite.

I tried to put the srping bar alone, it's ok, no problem.
I tried with another bar, it works well but since the replacement bar is thinner than the original one, the clasp doesn't work well and doesn't close...

I wonder if the end of the original bar is a little broken or shortened...

- Do you know how I can put this bar back on ?
- Do you know where I can find an identical pump ? Especially with the same thickness so that the clasp can close properly.

Original Bar is here :

I'm annoyed because it's not even my watch.
Many thanks for help.

Did you try the spring bar by itself all alone ?

Yeah, on its own, it fits.
That's what's strange.

Then there has to be some mechanical interference in the bracelet end not allowing it to seat properly

Yes maybe, I tried gently, forcing... nothing to do.

Cover it with magic marker , then try to seat it again , contact marks should be visible when you remove it

I finally got it back on last night !

For those of you who do, here's how I did it : (see picture)
- I removed the bar from the top and removed this part.
- I put the bar back in the lower part with a little bit of force.
- Then I put the bar back in the upper part and the part that goes with it.

Thanks for the help raddave !

@dogwood Hi pete, do any advice on this? the springbar of my jubilee (gmt cf 6v6) cannot be installed into the buckle.
I wanted to adjust the bracelet size but mistakenly removed the opposite springbar

1) top spring bar is not locking.
2) bottomg springbar is fine, locked in place.

Any advise sir?
@dogwood
Hmmm… sometimes spring bars can have metal burrs on their ends due to aggressive tool use. These burrs might be preventing the spring bar end from sliding into the dimple. Other than that my advice is: just keep messing with it and eventually it’ll go click.

I did it! started to work on it at 8.30am and managed to get it done at 3am. I think you are right with the metal burrs on the ends because I had it clicked into the dimple after giving it a soapy wash. Wish i did that earlier to save time. lol!
