The rehaut on my V2 is very well done and even all the way round and I’ll centre it when I have more time to take it apart which will be when I can find a gen crystal!

From what I've seen V2 seems to be centered on the top half but not the bottom. Can you share a pic of the lower half please?

For those that can’t read my post above about the engraving! Mine is EVEN all the way round as are other V2’s I’ve seen. Here you go!
I’m going to stop posting as I’m getting bored of reading the same pointless questions that have been answered and the silly comments from those who have never handled one! Sorry! Rant over!!

If the update is the same as on the 116610, the rehaut engraving is still misaligned and the crowguards are wrong unfortunately

WRONG!!! The engraving is not misaligned on my V2. The dial is! Once remounted the alignment will be perfect!
The crown guards on the V2 3135 which is what the topic is about are as near perfect as you will get them. God knows where you are looking fella!

Yeah this rehaut etching looks great!!! Rolex is evenly spaced, font is okay. The serial numbers at the bottom are not spaced correctly

Man can you chill out a little? Seriously pictures so far gave the impression that the bottom part of the rehaut is misaligned. This is exactly why I'm asking you so I'm not stating anything I'm asking for confirmation or not. For example the last QC pic of Amguy1 on page 51 shows that the misalignment changes as you go around the rehaut so it is not an issue of misaligned dial. Your watch is good so maybe it's a QC issue, doesn't mean that all ZZF v2 are.

I own a gen 116610 so yes I do know a little about rehaut engraving. Your pictures are useful to clarify. No need to be disrespectful.

And when it comes to crownguards, they look completely vertical on the zzf when they should be at an angle. Again if you can show otherwise then all good, but your picture from the front does not address the question.

I'm happy for you that you like your watch, but there is no need to be aggressive to defend it.

i posted a pic somewhere of a very misaligned gen gmt. Sure, reps are more often misaligned, but sometimes gens can be as well.

i'd rather have them get the black hole effect right, or the shape of the lugs like gen and not boxy, than a very little not perceivable problem at wrist distance.

Sorry but I would reject this gen, waiting list or not. Give it to the next guy and keep me on top of the list.

Well, debates are always helfull but its true that they loop around the same nitpicky details. As true as these little "errors" are, don't forget this is not a thread about the dissection of a gen watch !

The bottome line here, and the specialists here help us noobies to have a more precise opinion on what to buy as a good Sub rep, is that ZZF becomes a real challenger for Noob, ARF and others.

For me, ZZF it will be, great thread !

Stick with your gen as reps are not for you if you are so critical on little details bud. The cg is not vertical on the zzf if you mean from the side profile.

I’ve had them all including gen and modding aside this is more aesthetically closer than arf and Noob. Arf just feels thick and clumsy. The hands are best on arf but these are well finished but not quite as 3D as arf. Lume is better on zzf.
Just my view of course but this is my favourite subc rep so far. Hopefully I can pick up a gen shortly to compare. Never have one when I need one!!!

Also that video is the V1 date version and the V2 is streets ahead.
