Nearer than you think
So, does noob really think that someone is going to buy a 528$ modified eta timebomb, when you could get a VRF with clone 3185 for 430$?

I agree on the LN, at that price it's a joke given the competition. Let's see what the BLNR insert looks like. They did a good job on the BLRO insert (though I still don't think colours are accurate, but that's probably what we have best to date) so they may have gotten a good BLNR. Let's not judge only on the pics from TDs

Ahahah don't discourage the factories my friend ;)

Haha, well never say never I guess! Nice to feel like a block is checked for good though, it doesn't happen often in the rep world.

If i want to get it to work and independently adjustable hour hand, what movement shall i go for and from where can i buy one? Its the first time im going to repair and assemble a watch.

Any help/tips will be appreciated.

Those movements are derisively referred to as timebomb movements because many fail due to a single cheap part. The only place I know of to get one is from a Chinese rep factory through a TD. Good luck with that. Most TDs that I have heard about are willing to sell these replacement movements only if one fails in a watch they recently sold to you.

They are modified clone 2824 movements, worth about $50 tops. An even cheaper DG3804 CHS movement was recently replaced by a TD for $90. So even if you could get one, I would expect to pay about $125. You can buy a nice, reliable ICHS 2836 for about $105.

Save yourself some grief on this first project and get a 2836 ICHS movement and hands. Also need an ETA dial.

The only gen ETA with GMT is a 2893. These last ones you posted are ETA clones and would be OK, but they are more expensive than the one I posted for no additional benefit. Also, the one I posted has a Rolex font datewheel overlay that moves the numbers to the Rolex date window position. With those other two you would have to buy and install the overlay separately.
