Are BP reps good?

I have two BP Rolexes: 114300 Oyster Perpetual Grey Dial and 16600 Sea Dweller. Both are superb for the money. I highly recommend these two models.

New QC photo for DJ 31mm, looks like only BP makes it. Looks pretty good but then with that magnifying cyclop, my untrained eyes can see the dw not centered (vertically) 1m away from my phone.

Another 1-2week wait for new one/another round of QC. Not a complaint, I know it’s part of the game. Just emphasize the need to pay extra attention & allow more time for them. Probably one reason why my TD seems always hesitant when I ask about BP watches.

You rejected for the datewheel not centered vertically?

It fine, the viewing angle is off center.

Thank you KJ. & no, usually I only ask questions so TD can double check. Some times they come back to me with photos showing it’s not a problem. Many other times they’ll just get a new one.

in this particular watch, I don’t know yet. Here’s another photo in the same QC set. I want me to be wrong man.

Did you read the post I linked? In both the pics you posted the cyclops border is wider on top than the bottom. This tells you the viewing angle is low, which causes the datewheel to appear low, and more white space to appear above the number. A properly centered datewheel SHOULD appear low in the window when the cyclops border is wide on top.

Is DG3804 the movement to ask for with these? Don’t see it listed on my TD’s site. Just a 2813 for the correct Pepsi looking 16710 for some reason. 4 digit and 6 digit I see more movement choices but wanted 5

The DG3804 is a DG2813 variant which has GMT bits added. TD'S just list it as a DG2813. There is no DG2813 with CHS. So look at the watch. If the hour hand is on the bottom, it's CHS and if it says DG2813, it's NOT a plain DG2813 but the DG3804 variant.

Thank you so much. Do you consider the DG3804 a timebomb? I want a BP 5 digit GMT, but don’t see it with the safe ICHS movement.

I have changed the hour hand more than a hundred times already (I skipped one day while setting it and realised it doesn't change the date back, so I had to go through a full month of dates, lol). I also have moved the hour hand forward and back several times as I have been travelling over the atlantic the past few weeks. I took absolute zero precautions as the watch is not expensive and I wanted to treat it as it should, on purpose. Still ticking like a champ.

That’s reassuring. I’m not super worried because of the price, but maybe a little because I’ve never replaced a movement before if it ever comes to that.

How is the GMT hand set on one of these?

You set the GMT hand on position three, by actually setting the time: GMT and minute. Then you go to position two and set the hour hand. I usually have it with my home time and then just move the hour hand to local time when I travel.

Yes I still have it, and no I am not looking to sell any time soon bro. This is now a rare piece that may never leave my collection.

Currently the movement dial and hands are in another case, but that's only temporary as I need that case back for a new build.
