I just received a 70€ DHGate Pepsi cheapie, that I bought to try a thinner caseback to replace the oversized BP 16710 one.
No need to say the watch is far from being a beauty, but surprisingly its caseback fits pretty well on the BP.

No inside engraving and a tin can feel about it, but the thickness gain is pretty good. Seems to be an acceptable option to solve the BP Pespi height problem IMO.

That's always useful, can you post a link? We all should know DHGate does not have TDs

That's great to know, thanks for the post. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you can achieve the same effect with a $20 case back from raffles-time. They have a sub diver and milsub case back that might fit. Do you know what the diameter measurements are for the BP case back? I've been interested in getting one but the thickness issue has been one of my concerns.

It's not just diameter that matters, it's also thread spacing and thread depth. All aspects have to work.

Soooo after a few weeks did I aready desk-jockey-scuff my way through the clasp's gold plated center? I guess if i try to polish this I will completely remove any of the what may be remaining gold plating ....

Damn bro, wish I had posted this here too - you could just get a new clasp but yeah this plating is pretty thin and needs some protection. I did all sides of the clasp and fliplock, and 2 links either side. Its cellphone screens I cut out the little shapes. I have some more FG & TTs to do. This stuff is the bomb - easy to cut and easy to apply.

I’ve always thought the idea of lots of little bits of phone case plastic on your watch bracelet was more bother than it’s worth, but having seen riffralph’s clasp, I’m converted to the idea!

I got my M2M BLRO from Hinclimincli yesterday... lovely! I’m happy to join the BP gang!

I guess rhe best way to obtain a clasp would be to ask Li for one with my next order which is sure to occur at some time in the not too distant future?

nemboscorner had one for $188 the other week ..missed it ...

How are the bezels on the 116710 BP's? Are they 24 click bi-directional?

Yes, I've never seen or heard of a 6 digit Rolex GMT rep that didnt have the 24 click bezel, even $60 DHGATE cheapies

Thanks for the info. I've had some cheap gmts that used divers bezels which is annoying. So to be clear, the version of these BP's that are roughly $160 usually use the converted 2813 with non-independent gmt hand correct?

I've never seen them listed that cheaply. Non-TD TSWATCH has most or all of them listed. Send link to your TD.

Look for this specific text in the description to know it will be a DG3804 CHS, independent GMT hand.

Here is the version I'm looking at. MR has them for $145. It's non chs which is what I prefer. But looking at the picture of the movement it doesn't look to be a 3804 because it doesn't have a circular cutout to the left of the balance. Sometimes TDS label 3804's 2813 so I'm not sure if this is the case here.

It's likely a DG3804 ICHS with independent GMT hand at that price. Those models are pretty bare bones, barely a step up from DHGATE quality. The datewheels are often not Rolex fonts and the date window is in the ETA/DG position, not the Rolex position.

Nembo at RG sells a lot of these, you may have to open an account there to see these better pics if you dont have one

For $100 more you can buy something much nicer, like these (BP 2836 ICHS, available in SS also)
