Hi folks,

Almost a year ago I embarked upon a mission to get myself a nice looking franken Sub. Just got this beauty from amazing Johnny D. What do you guys think? Shall I push it even further gen?

All advice appreciated!

Spectacular specimen. Since you asked, the only really beneficial addition would be a gen dial, or gen 12, 6, 9 indices if you could find them. The sharp corner rep markers are an easy tell.

Gen dial is a PITA to find, I have almost the exact same build and just need dial to complete it. Have been unlucky trying to find one.

Thank you, sir! That's exactly what Johnny said. To be honest, the markers don't bother me at all - I am more concerned with the Submariner at 6 as I think in gen it is a bit bolder that here.

On the other hand, when I tried a gen 116610 and 114060 at AD, I couldn't really spot any difference in the dial. Maybe if I put the franken next to gen, then sure, but otherwise it's super difficult to see any difference. Not to mention that a gen dial is 850 EUR;/ again: on the other hand, my OCD will probably soon kick in and I will get it;)

I know what you mean bro, the rabbit hole goes deep. But with only 2300 in such a great build adding the dial would still keep you at a very low percentage of the gen cost. You might try to find some gen markers though, IDK where but I know of several ppl who have put gen markers on rep dials, most notably BP Hulk dials. Could have come at a reasonable price from a badly damaged dial, any dial with those markers would work.

Such a great piece! Great work by Depp.
I have a similar build but with the gen dial, instead of the gen insert. I have had to make due with an ARF insert until I can find a gen at a reasonable by price.

Actually, that's not a bad idea!
