Found some old articles in 2018 and older relating to Paul Newman Daytona reps.

Just wondering if it is still possible to get them nowadays, new from dealers.

If yes, I would appreciate if anyone can point me in the right direction.

What Ive seen so far are reps with Asian Valjoux, Venus and Lemania movements.

I'm not even sure which of these are/aren't available anymore.

Searching for dial examples is kinda tough too. Were there so many variants for the same model during those times?

I saw pics of dials with/without the red Daytona script. And it seems Rolex switched between screwdown pushers for the chrono and just regular pushers without screwdown.

Basically what I'm looking out for is just a good start to a rep with option to franken it later.

And also, who is DW? And how do I get hold of him?

This is as good as any place to start- good luck.
BTW, DW is long gone- it stood for David Wang- a dealer who had nice vintage Daytonas, but he flew the coop 3-4 years ago.

I browse at TSWATCH a lot, they have a good site. You can send a link from TS to any TD, they should be able to source any watch for you.

Also look in the TD section here at Marvelous Replica, he has a section for vintage Daytonas. Some great deals at only $200 with hand wind ST-19s working chrono! Frozen 6 subdial, standard for ST-19.
