Ready for some mods :)

116500LN Noob v2.2 and an old TC 16622.

The 116500 is actually what brought me back to the world of watches! Despite all the (very minor and correctable) flaws, reps have come a very, very long way in the last decade! It's a good time to be in the hobby :)

For whatever reason I can't accept the 116500 to be a beater! Amazing reps!

I agree; new bezel and better SELs would definitely benefit this watch, but that's a pretty popular consensus here for sure ;)

Rockinmakicks- Love the Daytona for a daily wearer; just does everything so well. Casual, or suiting up... It works with pretty much everything. I particularly appreciate the fact that the lume seems to last forever; I wear mine while sleeping, and love that I can see that it's 3:41am if I happen to wake up in the middle of the night :)

Those that know me from the other forum might recall that my first foray into the world of building frankens was with a pair of Zenith Daytonas; those ultimately landed with new homes to help fund some vintage Patek projects and I have not had a Daytona since. I am happy to say that the Noob is a suitable piece to fill that Cosmograph void...

I 100% agree, you just convince me to use my Daytona more often. Are you thinking of a Gen bezel? I saw that there is a Clean factory bezel that are now available from the TD. I got an ARF bracelet on mine, it's more sturdy as compared to the Noob, now my $600 Noob is worth $1K because the ARF head has become my practice watch and eventually messed it up.

Somewhere around there. It wears extremely well, especially if you have a smaller wrist. I daily my 116500 for a while now, I never get sick of it.
