Folks, can someone clear this up for me? I haven’t found anything definitive about getting this movement serviced in CONUS. I PMed misiekped but haven’t heard back, not even sure if that’s an option. There have to be other CONUS members wondering the same thing, unless I’m missing an obvious thread somewhere...

Here is one in SoCal

I sent my 4130 movement Noob to the Oligarch. It was literally brand new, I just got it from my TD, never even worn. Shipped and delivered August 02. I waited four weeks before contacting Oligarch. Zero response. Only after insinuating I'd make a thread did I get a response. I was told that there was an issue with my watch and that a part was ordered to repair it. No other details or information provided.

Certainly all possible, but definitely raises an eyebrow--watch was sent with most of the stickers still attached...

I might give this one a try next time; also CONUS. Not sure if this one does 4130 movement. Probably does. But some of the reviews show a similar experience to mine. All these watch servicers seem to have a very long queue and communication seems extremely sparse.

I’ve sent it a request to strodda to see if he even does that work. Then I found this thread in misiekped’s section so it appears he DOES do it:

https://forum.replica-watch.info/forum/watchservicesny/7379005-servicing-4130

But I still haven’t heard back from him so who knows.

What happened with Oligarch - did you get the work done you wanted?

Still waiting sir. Last and only communication since I sent it in was September 6.

He's made a significant social media push this past month which shows his commitment to his business. So I don't think I'll get scammed or anything. But the communication is just so bad.
So we all know we must have patience in this hobby; just know that I guess for watch servicing you have to get comfortable with 0 communication too lol

Keep in mind these guys have full time jobs, families and provide these services in thier spare time. Not to mention they service several forums. I can imagine the number of repair orders must be quite overwhelming at times.

I'm not that concerned about time frames, just in finding someone reliable who can actually service the movement.

Try Vac? He is US based and a watch modder here.

Confirmed Strodda does not service these yet because he said he just hasn't had time to familiarize himself with the movement. But apparently he intends to, so down the road he'll be an option.
