The first noob best OOTB is 116519LN (but it need to change bezel)
now this 116500 (white) is even better than 116519 (no need to change bezel)?

For ARF vs Noob.
ARF v2 need to change caseback , remove rotor and correct pushers (M scott said pushers is now correct) and no clone movement. But their dial and bezel are best OOTB.
Noob don't need to change parts for 116500 white (AFAIK), 116500 black dial I don't like since sub dial is too shiny and still fat. You need to change dial I think.

So, what is better is depend on you which one you want. There are many variants of Daytona. If you are looking for specific Daytona we can tell which one is better.
But IMHO, I would suggest to go for Noob since it have really really good movement inside (70+ hr reserved) and you can go on Franken route. Their weak points is their dial is not good on some model you need to swap with ARF or GEN parts.

I mixed them. Noob and ARF.

Thank you for posting your first hand experience with both Noob and ARF Daytonas...

I would agree that the New V3 116500 White Dial Noob looks like it is now the best "Out of the Box" Daytona for most people.
Noob finally fixed the Ceramic Bezel font and hopefully the quality will be sharp and the paint will be durable.
At this point we don't know if the Noob bracelet has changed at all, but the typical Noob SELs look the same in QC pictures.

The details and sharpness of the ARF dials are still better when viewed side by side in person with a Noob, but the White Noob 116500 dial is very good and fairly close to Gen on it's own.

The White Panda Daytona is currently the most popular Daytona by far, so many people have, or will get the White Dial 116500 Noob and they will be very happy with them.

However, to make a blanket statement that Noob Daytonas are better in every way than ARF Daytonas is not really true.

- The Noob Clone 4130 is a full chronograph movement, but it does cost 40% more than the limited ARF a7750 movement.
- If cost is an issue, and you never use the chronograph, the overall quality of the ARF can be a good deal.
- The overall quality of the ARF dials and bracelet are better than the Noob, especially the 116500 Black dials.
- The 116520 Noob dials still use the font from the 116500 dial which is wrong, but the 116520 Black Dial is now using the Updated "V2.2" dial with thinner sub-dials and the correct amount of shininess.

Many people have gone to the extra expense and effort to combine their Noob Daytonas with better quality ARF parts because they really are better, and worth that extra effort to those people.

So, You mean Noob 116520 black dial is acceptable? on par with ARF?
I don't care for bezel since steel bezel are too shiny and nobody will see fonts on wrist.
I still need 116520 black and 116500 white in my collection.

I am waiting to pull the trigger on a new 116520 white dial as Noob has fucked up the dial using the 116500 one. I hope the bracelet has been improved: noone is already wearing a new one I suppose....let us know please

just got in touch with puretime. seems that there's a waiting list to join (like the GEN :)) - two three weeks as we speak.

I will have to patiently queue.

guys can someone please confirm if the bezel is definately the same as the clean factory one in the new V3 daytona? My TD is under the impression that the clean factory bezel is still better.

Guys I have just recieved my first batch of QC pics from my TD for the new V3 Daytona noob. According to my TD the Clean bezel is still better than the updated V3 bezel.

Would appreciate if you guys can have a look at the links below and let me know if i should GL or RL this watch.

Posting QC pics is not allowed unless you have a specific concern. Tucker would probably GL it.

Ordered the V2 just before the announcement of the V3 and got QC pics today. I'm not familiar with Rolex reps at all so a bit help is wanted pls.
Is this the V2 or V3, are there any flaws that I should look for and as a Rolex Noob probably will not see? I put the grid on it myself and alignment looks good to me.
