NOOB V3 116500LN announced! Whats new?

I have not been keeping up with the
Daytonas in a while. I bought 3 of them before and they all died because of the movement within 2 months. Has the
timebomb movement been fixed? Thanks again everyone.

The best thing of this watch is the movement itself... Probably is bad luck cuz SA4130 is very reliable

Looks like you just need to clean the bezel. An old toothbrush with a bit of warm water and a mild detergent is gonna do wonders for that

You can test a tooth brush and some water. My bezel from the 116519ln was a little bit dirty, and absolutely no faded even if its my working day watch !

There is no such watch as a 2.2, its simply touted on the forum for some idiotic reason. Maybe someone put in an extra link on the bracelet. If you dont believe there is no 2.2 release try asking a dealer as they will have no idea what you are talking about.

The Noob 116500 White Dial is pretty good, but the sub-dials on the Black Dial are too Fat and too Shinny, even on the "V2.2" version.
The White Dial is more popular, so maybe they just don't care about the Black ones.

Just to clarify the "V2.2 name ...again.

116500 V2.2 Dial is not an official name with the Factories or with the Dealers in China.
It is just a name started and used on this forum to easily and consistently label a new Updated dial.

I read in a FAQ by one of the TDs on this forum that the Factories determine if a watch is V1, V2, V3, etc...

In the case of the Noob Daytonas...

- In April 2018 the V1 Noob 116500 and 116520 with a 4130 Clone Movement started release with a 316L Stainless Steel Case.

- In August 2018 the Noob V2 116500 and 116520 replaced the 316L Case with a 904L SS Case and increased the price by $100.

- In February 2019 Noob updated the dials for the Ceramic Bezel 116500 Daytonas only. The 116520s are still unchanged.

The Noob Factory still calls the current 116500 and 116520 Daytonas V2. Most of the TDs are calling the new 116500s "V2 with an Updated Dial."
Some TDs (PureTime for example) don't seem to realize that the dials have changed, even though their QC pictures are clearly showing Updated Dials.


So if you go to a TD and ask for a V2.2 Noob Daytona, they won't know what you are talking about.

TDs apparently sell many different kinds of watches and don't have, or take the time, to focus on a single watch the way that some forum members might do.

About six months ago I started a thread comparing of 14 different Daytona watches. 4 Gens, 4 old and 2 new Noobs, and 4 ARFs.
At the time some members were calling the newly released Noob V.2 with a new Updated dial a "V2.2".
"V2.2" made sense and was shorter than typing "V2 with new Updated Dials" over and over. So I used it in the thread title and in the comparison details.

With the release of the new Updated Dials in February 2019, Noob fixed one of the biggest complaints at the time, which was the thickness of the sub-dials, But for some reason they didn't consider it a new Version.
Now Noob is releasing the same watch with the only change being the font and possibly the paint on the bezel, and they are now calling a V3.

Subdial is not that fat now.
R in ROLEX is still wrong. Others ok for me.
For faded ceramic numbers on noob, ARF also fade in longer time too.
This Noob v3 is best OOTB

Updated font dial (the font used is the one from 116500)
2 tick dial to be coherent with blue super luminova.
Updated bezel.
Updated buckle.
