Very old datejust replica

Just bought this one out of curiosity.

What year would this have been made? Resembles a model 1600 DJ. Wonder what movement is inside.. Will know that when it arrives next week

40€ gamble..

Will be a great project to learn how to work on watches

That looks like a watch I bought in the late 80s when I was in Malaysia. The flat hands especially. Good luck with the project.

given the way the hour markers are fixed on the dial,
this must have been a quality build I think,
or just classic 80's workmanship..

How big is the chance this is a real rolex?
Need some advice from people who know more about the 36mm 16000 series datejust.
Received the watch yesterday and I'm having doubts about it being a rep..
- Clasp has the correct number (62510 D) and date code K 12 (dec. 1986)
- Endlinks have number 8.
- Second hand moves fluently without hesitation, nut unlike most reps.
- Glass is mineral, but the stainless datejust switched to sapphire only in '89
- Hands are not flat like mentioned before, guess because of the angle of the pictures
- Magnification is like it should

I cannot open the case with my T-handle bergeon so that's something for the watchmaker,
so I don't know what movement is in there.

If you think its real, take it to a watchmaker... But not a Rolex AD.

For your sake I hope it is real.
